Ed Sheeran gets a massive new tattoo. The Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire native, English vocalist shows off a huge lion which is right across his chest. If you remember David Beckham’s tattoo was a the huge side take a look at Sheeran’s, he took to his Instagram today sporting the freshly-inked lion’s face. He also wrote a caption saying,
‘Halfway and ouch’ – suggesting that there’s more work to be done on the incredible artwork.
The tat was worked on by Kevin Paul, a tattooist who has also inked the bodies of other stars including One Direction’s Harry Styles and N-Dubz rapper Dappy.
Ed later thanked the celebrity tattoo artist on Twitter, writing: ‘Lion is courtesy of @kp_est78, who puts up with me complaining about the pain.’It is believed that Ed got the new tattoo to mark his sell-out gigs at Wembley Stadium last month.The picture received a mix response from Ed’s loyal fans, with some saying they loved the tat and others expressing horror at the design.One follower commented ‘it looks so awesome’, whilst another confessed: ‘I want one just like it.’On the other end of the scale, one of Ed’s followers responded: ‘Omg nooooo! If this is real I’ll be so sad.’
Another simply asked: ‘Why?’
Sheeran, twenty-four has other tattoos, a penguin, a teddy bear, a copy of a Van Gogh painting and various quotations.
These include lyrics from The Streets’ song Everything Is Borrowed that read ‘I came to this world with nothing, And I’ll leave with nothing but love. Everything else is just borrowed,’ and Gaelic lyrics that mean: ‘When I need to get home you’re my guiding light.’
